Fifty Small Paintings

(and other improvisations with choice and chance)

Roger Jones

The paintings, post-card size, start with a big splash. These spontaneous marks are augmented with careful drawing delineating the empty spaces without modifying the original image. Further developments are made to sharpen the co-existence with choice and chance.

A sythesis perhaps?

Living Aliveness

An introduction to releasing, a profound tool for consciousness

with Joy Hicklin-Bailey

Releasing is an inner tool for enhancing emotional and mental freedom.

This is an intensive introduction to a very powerful personal and spiritual development approach you will be able to use for the rest of your life, whenever limitation or disturbance arises or whenever you wish to release perceived limits and conditioning.

The premise is we are all already whole, complete and perfect, in our Beingness. The approach will bring you more quietness and presence, ease, sensitivity, intimacy, clarity and happiness.

A deeper level of acceptance of what is allows you effortless creation and 'being happy anyway' as you enjoy the river of life.

Till the slow sea rise

Milo Newman

An exhibition of monochrome landscape photographs by rising young documentary photographer Milo Newman, focusing on the effects of climate change and rising sea levels on areas of low lying coastline around Britain.
The images, captured on a series of long walks around the British coastline act as a visual call to environmental action, reminding us of humankind’s lost connections to its environment and providing a picture of what might happen if we don’t reconnect soon.

The Spooky Men's Chorale

Genial buffoonery and immaculate, testosterone drenched vocals define the Spooky Men's Chorale, a ruthless bunch of larrikins based in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia whose stated ambition is to make women cry, small children afraid, and real estate salesmen vaguely aware that somewhere, there is a world they've never experienced.

"It is spooky. You're listening to what sounds like archangels singing ethereal harmonies. But it's a bunch of boofy men from the Blue Mountains, with a wise guy out the front wearing a furry deerstalker hat. ...If you have preconceived ideas about choirs leave them at the tent flap. This sound is sexy, powerful, at times impossibly gentle and sad, unmistakably male." - The Courier Mail

Well known on the festival circuit, the Spooky Men are a sight to behold and a wonder to the ears.

Don't miss your chance to see them here at The Space in Stroud.

Snap up your tickets fast, Oxford and Bristol gigs are already sold out so don't dither or you might miss out !
